The Votes Are In…
Well…
Instead of asking everyone to click a link for another “Best Of Delaware” contest, I imagined what would happen if my patients were the ones creating the awards for medical spas. No committees. No nominations. No campaigns. Just honest opinions from the people who know me best.
The results were… surprisingly accurate.
I was crowned “CEO of Natural Results.” I have to admit, I like that one a whole lot. If you leave my office looking refreshed, rested, and still like yourself, then I consider that a win. I’ve never wanted someone to walk out looking like they had “work done.” My favorite compliment is when someone says, “Everyone keeps telling me I look great, but they can’t figure out why.”
Another award I apparently received was “Injector of Common Sense.”
That one made me laugh because if you’ve ever been in my treatment room, you know it’s true. I spend a surprising amount of time talking people out of treatments. Sometimes you don’t need another syringe. Sometimes you need better skincare. Sometimes you need to wait six months. And sometimes you just need someone to reassure you that you already look great. It may not be the fastest way to grow a med spa, but it’s the only way I know how to practice.
Then there was “Best Botox Hands Down.”
Now, before anyone gets too excited, I don’t think there’s a trophy for that. But if there were, I’d hope it wasn’t because I freeze foreheads. I’d hope it was because my patients still look like themselves. They can laugh, smile, and express themselves without hearing, “Who did your Botox?” That’s always been my goal at Charmed Medispa in Newark, Delaware – natural results that make people notice you, not your treatment.
One of my favorite signs in the picture says, “Patients’ First Choice (And for Good Reason).” That one actually made me stop and think. There are so many talented providers in Delaware, and I never take it for granted when someone chooses to trust me with their face. That’s a responsibility, not an award. Every consultation, every treatment plan, and every follow-up is built around that trust.
I also noticed the mug that says “Injector of Common Sense.” Honestly, that might be the most valuable title of them all. Common sense has become a little underrated in aesthetics. Bigger isn’t always better. More isn’t always better. More syringes don’t automatically mean better results. Sometimes the best treatment plan is the one that requires the least amount of treatment.
As I looked around at all of my imaginary awards, I realized something. None of them had anything to do with popularity contests. None of them required daily reminders to vote. None of them depended on how many emails I sent or how often I asked for support on social media.
They were all about the things I actually hope people remember.
Honesty.
Natural results.
Good judgment.
A little humor.
And treating every patient like family.
I’m going to keep showing up, keep learning, keep being honest, and keep doing what I’ve done for years helping people feel confident without ever making them look like someone else.
