Comfort Measures for Injectable Treatments
For Botox and Dysport, many patients are surprised to learn how quick and tolerable the treatment can be, but we still offer numbing cream (really strong!) for anyone who prefers additional comfort. We want you to feel completely relaxed, and numbing often helps ease tension before the first tiny injection is given. We also use needles called Comfort Tox which are designed to be smooth and diminish pain. Our patients notice!
For fillers, comfort becomes even more important. We always use numbing because fillers require a bit more precision and time. Modern fillers include lidocaine, which helps minimize discomfort from within the product itself, but we believe in providing both external and internal comfort measures for an easier experience. Throughout your appointment, we check in with you carefully and adjust our pace if you need a moment to breathe or relax.
Comfort Measures for IPL, Laser, Microneedling, and Sofwave
Light and energy-based treatments can sound intimidating, especially if you have never experienced them before. At Charmed Medispa, we prepare your skin thoroughly to ensure a comfortable and controlled treatment. TLC first, IPL and laser second.
Numbing is always available for IPL if desired. Although many clients find IPL to feel like a quick warm snap, numbing can make the experience even smoother.
For all laser treatments, we always use numbing. Laser procedures often involve heat, so preparing the skin with numbing cream makes a tremendous difference in comfort and overall relaxation. Did you know we have 3 types of laser resurfacing options? One is very mild like a CoolPeel laser with virtually no downtime. The next laser resurfacing has moderate downtime and then of course, we offer lasers with more downtime if you prefer. You can decide how you would like to approach your refreshment. No surprises.
Microneedling and Sofwave both benefit from numbing as well. These treatments work deeper in the skin, and numbing allows the procedure to be effective without creating unnecessary discomfort. When clients feel physically comfortable, they are more likely to enjoy the experience and appreciate the benefits.

Our chemical peels do not require numbing because they are so well tolerated. They are naturally gentle while still delivering excellent results. Two of our most popular peels are known for being pain free.
The ViPeel with peptides is specifically designed to be comfortable. Patients often describe it as cool or slightly tingly, never burning or painful.
The ZO Stimulator Peel is another soothing, no downtime peel that brightens and refreshes without discomfort. These peels are excellent choices for individuals who want visible skin improvement without feeling anything intense on their skin.
