Chemical Peels

We have unique medical grade chemical peels to choose from that can address you specific skin condition for sun damage, melasma, freckles, sensitivity and acne.  Our peels improve oily skin, pore size,  textures, tone, wrinkles and excess pigmentation as well as give you that red carpet glow before special events.

A chemical peel is a skin resurfacing technique and collagen stimulator that consists of applying a controlled chemical agent that rapidly exfoliates the skin and penetrates the skin to improve concerns. The chemical peel process softens fine lines, rebuilds collagen, and lightens and brightens skin by stimulating the growth of new skin and by penetrating the problem areas of your skin. Chemical peels are an excellent resource to improve many skin conditions and at Charmed Medispa, chemical peels are completely customized to ensure that your specific concerns are targeted.

Chemical peels can safely treat a wide range of common skin conditions. We use a variety of types of peels that are medical grade and provides results that are beyond a typical salon or spa. We specialize in minimal down time peels that are the cutting edge in technology.

Some of our customized chemical peels also come with take home products to enhance the peel results. We are able to add ingredients to our peels to better improve wrinkles and pigmentation and a variety of other concerns for maximum results!  We have superficial to deep chemical peels based on your skin condition and desired outcome.  Before your chemical peel, we will review your goals and work together to select the peel that will give you the ultimate result.

Who is a good candidate?

Almost anyone can benefit from a chemical peel including darker skin types who are not candidates for Intense Pulsed Light or Laser Therapies.  We will evaluate your skin history and concerns as well as your lifestyle and make sure the peels are done safely and effectively.  Peels should not be done closer than 2 weeks prior to a special event or if you plan on having any sun exposure before or after the peel.  The skin must be protected from sun exposure to ensure safe and effective results.

The treatment can dramatically improve the following conditions:

  • Rough or dry skin
  • Dull complexion
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Acne or Rosacea
  • Acne-prone or oily skin

What to Expect

Charmed Medispa offers all types of light to medium chemical peels that are directed at providing results!   Our licensed, highly-trained provider who specializes in prescriptive skin care management will carefully examine your skin to determine the best type of chemical peel for your unique needs.  Some peels create more peeling than others and actually feel different being done.  We will walk you through the process before the peel is done and you can relax knowing that our core belief is educate first, treat second.

Believe it or not, most peels do not have burning pain like the old days. The peels we have are advanced and customized and pH balanced, which equal more comfort, little to no downtime, and quickly start showing smoother and more fabulous skin!

Most peels look great the day of treatment and the day after the peel.  Peeling usually begins day 3-7.  Depending on the peel, you may be given creams to soothe and calm the area.  You are encouraged not to pick or peel after a chemical peel so that the healing process occurs naturally.  After the peeling is complete, your skin will be radiant and glowing and red carpet ready.

Some chemical peels are performed in a series and will have more impact if repeated in 3-6 weeks.  Our master aesthetician, Shae Ryan, will review these options and make sure that your specific goals are met.  Shae is also proud to manage these peels with you and will assist you through the peeling process.  You have a skin care coach right at your disposal at all times.

Risks

A chemical peel can cause various side effects, including redness, peeling and breakouts.  An important part of deciding on a chemical peel is to make sure that the right peel is done on the right person at the right time.  Some guests will benefit from a skin care conditioning system prior to a chemical peel to enhance the peel as well as ensure safe and effective results.  Our guests who have melasma often must prep their skin before any chemical peel is applied.

Our highly experienced medical aesthetician will carefully review the procedure and potential risks with you prior to your treatment so that you can feel confident in your skin care treatments.
